Argentina will leave the No. 10 shirt unassigned for its friendly matches in November. TyC Sports reported that the number will remain vacant during the team’s November camp following Lionel Messi’s departure from the national team.
Argentina will face Uruguay on November 14 and Costa Rica on November 17. The competition regulations do not require players to wear numbers from 1 to 11.
Como midfielder Nico Paz is considered the leading candidate to take the No. 10 shirt. Liverpool player Alexis Mac Allister, Manchester City midfielder Enzo Fernandez and Fiorentina player Franco Mastantuono are also contenders for the number. However, none of them will wear it in the November matches.
