Messi struggles to choose the two most important goals of his career

Former Argentina and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has struggled to choose the two most important goals of his career.

“If I had to choose two goals that hold a special place in my life, honestly, I don’t know. It’s very difficult to choose. I would probably pick the goal I scored for the national team in the World Cup final. Its meaning, the moment it was scored and the importance of the match are the reasons,” Messi said.

He said that among his goals for Barcelona, he might choose one scored in a Champions League final, an El Clasico or another particularly important match. However, he stressed that identifying the two most important goals of his career was genuinely difficult.
