Former Roma and Milan forward Antonio Cassano has praised the performances of Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi. His comments were reported by AS.
Cassano said Messi plays football at another level and that no player in history has been like him. He described the Argentine star as a remarkable phenomenon who remains unmatched as he approaches 40.
The former footballer also named Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Real Madrid player Rodrygo among the players he admires. However, Cassano said Messi is far superior to them and to players who may take their place in the future. He said there will never be another player like Messi.
According to the source, Messi has scored 126 goals and provided 70 assists in 208 appearances. With Argentina, he has won the 2022 World Cup, the 2021 and 2024 Copa América titles, and the 2022 Finalissima.
