Heydar Aliyev Foundation Vice President Leyla Aliyeva met Muslim Council of Elders Secretary-General Mohamed Abdelsalam on October 27.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the sides highly praised Azerbaijan’s contribution to strengthening Islamic solidarity. They also discussed ways to further develop cooperation between the Azerbaijan Council of Elders and the Muslim Council of Elders.
The meeting noted that Azerbaijan actively promotes Islamic culture and its fundamental values globally and makes sustained contributions in this area.
It was noted that important issues will be discussed at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit to be held in Azerbaijan in 2027.
