The Iranian army is fully prepared to protect the country's territorial integrity, independence, and political structure, according to senior military officials.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that these remarks were made by Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army.
"We have the capability to inflict damage on the enemy, and they understand very well that any adventure will result in serious losses for them," Sayyari noted during his address.
According to Sayyari, the United States is attempting to intimidate the Islamic Republic with statements regarding the deployment of large numbers of American forces to the Middle East. However, he emphasized that the Iranian army remains in a state of high readiness to defend the nation's sovereignty.
"Any adventure directed against Iran will result in serious losses for the US," the Rear Admiral added, reiterating the military's stance on regional tensions.
This escalation in rhetoric comes amid a complex geopolitical landscape in the Middle East, where US President Donald Trump has maintained a policy of "maximum pressure" and strategic deterrence. The region has seen increased military posturing as both Washington and Tehran navigate long-standing disputes over maritime security, regional influence, and defense capabilities. Such statements from high-ranking Iranian military officials are often viewed as a response to the shifting security dynamics and the presence of Western naval assets in the Persian Gulf and surrounding waters.
