First phase of Soltanli village opens in Jabrayil

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of the first phase of Soltanli village in Jabrayil district on November 6.

“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Vahid Hajiyev, the President of Azerbaijan’s special representative in Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts, briefed the head of state and the first lady on the work carried out in Soltanli village.

Soltanli village was occupied by Armenia in 1993. Before the occupation, residents were mainly engaged in cotton growing, grain farming, sericulture, viticulture and livestock breeding. Azerbaijan’s Armed Forces liberated the village from occupation on October 19, 2020.

A total of 420 individual houses have been built in Soltanli village, which covers an area of 108.5 hectares. The houses have two, three, four or five rooms and are equipped with modern utilities, including water, electricity, gas, solar panels and high-speed internet. The village’s internal roads have been paved. Under the project, a two-storey administrative building, a kindergarten, a medical centre and a multipurpose building have also been built in Soltanli. The multipurpose building has one- and two-storey sections intended for a pharmacy, a market, a tailor’s shop, a beauty salon and other service centres.

Particular attention has been paid to the comfort of children at the 140-place nursery-kindergarten built in the village. Children will have access to methodology, computer, play and music rooms, as well as a dining hall.
