Azerbaijan’s president and first lady visit Victory Park in Baku

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited Victory Park in Baku on Sept. 27 in connection with Remembrance Day.

“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the head of state laid a wreath at the Victory monument and paid tribute to the memory of the martyrs.

First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva then paid deep respect to the memory of Azerbaijan’s martyrs.

Remembrance Day is observed annually in Azerbaijan on Sept. 27. It honors those who lost their lives in the liberation of the country’s territories and commemorates the beginning of the 44-day war in 2020.
