Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, Deputy Coordinator of the Iranian Army, has issued a stern warning regarding the country's defense capabilities, asserting that any foreign attempt to violate Iranian territory will be met with decisive force.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Iranian state television, Sayyari stated that the Iranian Armed Forces, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), law enforcement agencies, and the Basij forces maintain a high level of combat readiness with strong public support.
"The enemy knows that if they take such an irrational step, they will enter a hell from which there is no exit," Sayyari emphasized, specifically warning that any forces attempting amphibious operations on Iranian shores would face severe defeat.
The Rear Admiral reaffirmed that Iran's territorial integrity remains a "red line" for the state. He also referenced past rhetoric from US President Donald Trump regarding Iran's naval forces, claiming that such threats have failed to materialize into action. While acknowledging that Iran may lag behind some rivals in specific technological sectors, Sayyari insisted that the country is actively working to bridge these gaps through domestic innovation and remains unmatched in terms of national resolve and patriotism.
Iran's military strategy has historically focused on asymmetric warfare and coastal defense, particularly in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global oil supplies. The country frequently conducts large-scale naval drills to demonstrate its capability to disrupt or secure maritime traffic in the Persian Gulf, a region that remains a focal point of geopolitical tension between Tehran and Western powers.
