On August 18, temperatures in Azerbaijan are expected to reach as high as 36 degrees Celsius. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this forecast was officially released by the National Hydrometeorological Service.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be primarily dry, accompanied by a moderate north-westerly wind. Nighttime temperatures are forecast to range between 21-24°C, while daytime temperatures will reach 28-32°C. Atmospheric pressure is expected to be 756 mm of mercury, with relative humidity levels fluctuating between 70-80% at night and 45-50% during the day.

Across the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather will largely remain dry. However, meteorologists predict short-term rain and lightning in mountainous areas during the day. Fog is expected in some mountainous regions during the night and morning hours, with an easterly wind prevailing. Temperatures in the regions are forecast to reach 20-25°C at night and 31-36°C during the day, while mountainous areas will see cooler temperatures, ranging from 12-17°C at night to 20-25°C during the day.

The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors these climatic shifts, which are common during the peak of the summer season in the South Caucasus. Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions during periods of high heat, particularly during peak sunlight hours, to avoid heat-related health issues.
