Iran’s Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, has issued a stark warning over military and political tensions with the United States and the future of Iran’s nuclear program.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Rezaei made the remarks in a post on his official social media account.

Addressing international discussions about the future of Iran’s enriched uranium and the possibility of moving it abroad, the council secretary-general said Tehran would make no concessions:

“Not even a single gram of the enriched uranium held by Iran will be taken out of the country,” Rezaei said.

The Iranian official said that any peace or settlement talks with the US administration would depend on restoring mutual trust, adding that Washington must take concrete steps:

“There can be no question of bilateral talks until the United States takes real, adequate steps that build trust. This diplomatic process can begin only with the full and unconditional implementation of all the conditions put forward by Iran,” he added.
