Over the past 20 years, Azerbaijan has completely modernized its agricultural machinery fleet, President Ilham Aliyev said during a meeting dedicated to agricultural issues.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the head of state highlighted the extensive work carried out in this direction. President Ilham Aliyev noted that outdated machinery has been almost entirely phased out, replaced by modern equipment under highly favorable terms provided by the state for local farmers.
"The state has established very acceptable conditions for farmers. Furthermore, we are now producing agricultural machinery ourselves, and additional steps will be taken in this direction in the future," President Ilham Aliyev added. Azerbaijan continues to prioritize the modernization of its agricultural sector as part of its broader economic diversification strategy, aiming to boost productivity, support local farmers through subsidies, and reduce import dependency.
