Heavy rain and flood risk forecast for Baku and regions on Oct. 28-30

Rain is forecast in Baku, on the Absheron Peninsula and in some regions of Azerbaijan from Oct. 28 to 30. At certain times, precipitation is expected to be heavy and intense.

"Operativ Məlumat Mərkəzi-OMM" said the rain is expected to intensify toward the evening of Oct. 28, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.

Snow and hail are possible in some regions, particularly mountainous and foothill areas, according to the forecast. A warning has also been issued about possible flash floods in rivers in the Greater and Lesser Caucasus.

Amid the rainy weather, daytime temperatures will be 18-20 degrees Celsius and nighttime temperatures 13-15 degrees. Atmospheric pressure is expected to fall from 760 to 750 millimeters of mercury. Relative humidity will be 70-80% at night and 60-65% during the day.

Residents are advised to exercise caution during intense rainfall and stay away from areas at risk of flooding and river channels.
