Heavy rain is expected across much of Turkey from October 28.

“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Turkey’s General Directorate of Meteorology has issued yellow weather warnings for 20 provinces and an orange warning for Mugla province due to adverse weather.

The yellow warnings cover Adiyaman, Antalya, Aydin, Bingol, Burdur, Denizli, Diyarbakir, Elazig, Gaziantep, Isparta, Izmir, Kahramanmaras, Malatya, Mardin, Mersin, Mugla, Sanliurfa, Tunceli and Batman.

Heavy rain is expected in Istanbul on October 29, Republic Day, while rainy conditions are forecast to continue in Ankara. Flooding, inundation and strong winds pose risks in some areas.
