Oktay Saral has confirmed that he is leaving his post.
Turkish journalist Talat Atilla said he had confirmed that Turkish President’s chief adviser Oktay Saral was leaving his position, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
The journalist said he called Saral and asked whether he had been dismissed:
“Yes. We are not in our posts permanently. Our esteemed President appointed me, and I left at his direction. I hold no grudge against anyone,” he said.
“Is it because of your remarks about Azerbaijan?” I asked.
“Yes, it seems so,” he replied, then added:
“What matters is the Republic of Türkiye. What matters is the success of our esteemed President.”
Turkish media have been reporting for several hours that Saral was removed from his post.
