Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane has commented on winning the best forward of the year award. He thanked the organizers of the Ballon d’Or and France Football.
“Thank you, everyone. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the Ballon d’Or organizers and France Football. Last year was incredible for me, and I am proud of what I achieved. Without a doubt, it was the best season of my career. Scoring so many goals was a team effort,” Kane said in a statement carried by the BBC.
The striker said he was surrounded by people who helped him stay grounded and keep his perspective. Kane also thanked his wife, Kate, saying they had been on this journey together and that his success would not have been possible without her support.
In the 2025/2026 season, Kane won the Super Cup and German Cup with Bayern Munich and claimed the Bundesliga title. With England, he also won a bronze medal at the 2026 World Cup. From August 2025 to July 2026, he scored 73 goals in 65 appearances for Bayern Munich and England.
