Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has commented on preliminary results of the US midterm elections. The senior Iranian official posted on his personal account on the social network X.

“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Ghalibaf criticized Washington’s foreign policy and drew attention to the message from American voters: “If the US government disregards the will of its own people in order to serve international power centers and blackmailers, it will learn that Iran’s saying ‘no’ will come with a nightmare.”

In his post, the Iranian parliament speaker described the results of the US vote as an anti-war move: “Is it a matter of conscience or cost? The American people said ‘no’ to war, and we support this message.”

According to unofficial results of the US congressional midterm elections, the Democratic Party won 51 seats in the Senate, managing to take the majority back from the Republicans.
