The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reported that its "112" hotline received an alert regarding a fire in a multi-story residential building located in the Bakikhanov settlement of the Sabunchu district in Baku.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the MES press service, emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The ministry confirmed that units from the State Fire Protection Service and the Special Risky Rescue Service were involved in the operation. The fire was successfully extinguished in a short period, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building or neighboring structures.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations is the primary government body in Azerbaijan responsible for disaster management, fire safety, and rescue operations.
