Iran’s Army Ground Forces commander, Brig. Gen. Jahanshahi, has ordered military unit commanders to maintain the highest level of combat readiness, Anadolu Agency reported, citing Tasnim news agency.
“In wartime conditions, any negligence or carelessness can carry heavy costs,” Jahanshahi said, according to Tasnim.
He said effective operational readiness requires continuous training, accurate assessments of military capabilities, coordination among units, and the rapid identification and correction of shortcomings.
Jahanshahi also instructed commanders at every level to strengthen combat capabilities through careful planning, continuous supervision and effective follow-up.
The remarks come amid heightened military tensions between Iran and the United States following months of hostilities and ongoing disputes over security and maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
