Artıq Nobel Sülh Mükafatını almaq istəmir

US President Donald Trump has announced that he is no longer interested in winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing foreign media outlets, that the American leader has shifted his stance regarding the international honor.

Speaking about the award, US President Donald Trump stated: "I am not interested in it."

The decision marks a notable change in rhetoric. In January, Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. At the time, the president did not hide his desire to receive the award in 2025, asserting that he deserved the recognition for his efforts in "stopping eight wars" and his diplomatic initiatives on the global stage.

The Nobel Peace Prize, established by the will of Alfred Nobel in 1895, is awarded annually to individuals or organizations that have made significant contributions to international fraternity, the abolition or reduction of standing armies, or the promotion of peace congresses. While several US presidents have received the honor in the past, including Theodore Roosevelt and Barack Obama, the selection process often becomes a focal point of international political discourse and debate.
