Events have begun under “Digital Media Month,” an initiative of the Media and Broadcasting Council that will run throughout November 2026.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the initiative aims to improve media literacy, strengthen knowledge and skills related to the modern information environment, promote the creation of reliable content and support young people’s professional development in the field. “Digital Media Month” also seeks to raise awareness of opportunities created by new technologies, encourage their effective use and foster a stronger culture of safety on digital platforms.
The first day of the training program focused on digital media trends, platform algorithms, personal branding and engaging with audiences.
Jafar Najafov, a specialist in digital marketing and artificial intelligence, spoke on “Digital media trends and platform algorithms,” outlining how digital platforms work, how algorithms affect content distribution and the new trends emerging in today’s information environment.
Content creator Parviz Sadigov gave a presentation titled “Personal branding and audience engagement: digital content strategies.” He discussed developing a personal brand, identifying target audiences, preparing effective social media content strategies and maintaining ongoing communication with audiences.
The training program continued with discussions and question-and-answer sessions on the topics.
Throughout November, the initiative plans to hold awareness and development programs for different target groups, practical training sessions, seminars, networking meetings and media campaigns. The program will focus in particular on current topics including digital media trends, how social media platforms work, developing content strategies, applying artificial intelligence technologies, information security and countering disinformation.
