Under a joint BakıKart and Mastercard campaign, passengers will pay 1 qepik for every fourth trip on the metro and buses.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that BakıKart announced the campaign.
The offer applies to contactless (NFC) payments made with Mastercard cards issued by banks operating in Azerbaijan, using Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Under the terms, passengers who pay the standard fare for three trips receive a discount on the fourth. A charge of 0.01 manat is deducted from the card account for that trip.
The four trips do not have to be made on the same day; they may take place on different days.
Each card can be used for a maximum of five 1-qepik trips per calendar month. Once three trips have been completed, the discounted trip must be used within 30 days.
