American billionaire Elon Musk, head of SpaceX and X, responded with a sarcastic joke to the expected Democratic Party victory in the US midterm elections.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Musk shared the comment on his account on the X social network.
“Apparently, the space lasers I use to interfere in elections didn’t work this time,” Musk joked.
US President Donald Trump had earlier commented on the results of the congressional vote, saying he was ready to accept the outcome and work with the Democratic Party, which had gained control of the Senate and House of Representatives.
Media projections following the Nov. 3 elections indicated that Democrats would take control of the House of Representatives from Republicans. Bloomberg also reported that the Democratic Party had secured a majority in the US Senate.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said the situation surrounding the US midterm elections was entirely an internal matter for the United States.
