Investigators from Armenia’s Investigative Committee are searching the homes of Strong Armenia party leader Samvel Karapetyan and Narek Karapetyan, head of the parliamentary faction of the same name.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Armenian media outlets have reported the searches.
Searches are also being conducted at other locations linked to the Karapetyans.
Samvel Karapetyan has been under house arrest since January 19, 2026. He was arrested in June 2025 on charges of calling for the seizure of power and was held at a detention facility run by the National Security Service until the house-arrest order was issued.
Armenia’s Investigative Committee said searches were being conducted simultaneously at 65 locations as part of a criminal case investigated by its Main Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling.
