Legislation on the minimum duration of annual leave is set to change.
“Operativ Məlumat Mərkəzi-OMM” said the proposal is reflected in amendments to the Labor Code, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
Under the draft, employees would be prohibited from receiving compensation instead of taking the minimum annual leave of 21 calendar days.
The proposal would prohibit replacing the minimum annual leave period of 21 calendar days, established by Part 2 of Article 114 of the Labor Code, with compensation, except in the case set out in Part 2 of Article 144, when compensation is paid upon termination of employment. The draft also clarifies the meaning of transferring annual leave, or part of it, to another time and sets out more comprehensively and precisely the circumstances in which such a transfer is permitted.
