The Azerbaijani government forecasts annual inflation of 5.3% in the country in 2027.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reported this, citing the Ministry of Finance.

The forecast was prepared by the Ministry of Economy, taking into account actual inflation during the elapsed period of the current year, the relatively lower global prices of commodities, including food, and their impact on import prices, movements in the nominal effective exchange rate index, assumptions of exchange-rate stability, and the impact of changes in regulated tariffs for goods and services. The ministry expects annual inflation in Azerbaijan to reach 5.7% in 2025.

According to the State Statistics Committee, consumer prices increased by 5.7% in January-August this year compared with the same period in 2024. In August, prices rose by 5.7% year-on-year and by 0.2% compared with July.

Inflation forecasts are used in Azerbaijan’s budget and economic planning. Consumer price trends are influenced by domestic demand, exchange-rate conditions, global commodity prices and changes in regulated tariffs.
