Galatasaray beat Stuttgart 2-0 at home in the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League. The match was played at RAMS Park in Istanbul.
The opener came in the 12th minute. After a pass from Torreira, Sallai sent the ball into the penalty area; it rebounded off defenders and went in following Batrakov’s shot. In the 15th minute, Batrakov ran in behind the defense after receiving a pass from Sanchez and doubled the lead.
Goalkeepers shine in the second half
In the 22nd minute, goalkeeper Bredlow saved Batrakov’s shot, while Osimhen could not hit the target with the rebound. The first half ended with Galatasaray leading 2-0.
After the break, Bredlow denied Osimhen a goal. In Stuttgart’s attacks, Ugurcan Cakir saved shots from Deniz Undav and Fuhrich. In the 86th minute, Ugurcan used his foot to stop a shot by Pejcinovic in a one-on-one situation.
The match ended in a 2-0 victory for Galatasaray. The Istanbul club moved to six points in the tournament.
