Azerbaijan and Slovakia will exchange and mutually protect classified information.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that a bill approving an agreement signed between the two countries has been included on the agenda of a meeting of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties scheduled for September 14.
Following discussions, the bill on approving the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Slovak Republic on the Exchange and Mutual Protection of Classified Information” is expected to be recommended for consideration at a plenary session of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly).
Such agreements establish procedures for handling, storing and transferring sensitive information exchanged between government bodies and other authorized institutions. They are intended to strengthen trust and security in bilateral cooperation, including in military-technical and other areas involving classified materials.
