Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (National Assembly) has approved the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the mutual exemption of holders of ordinary passports from visa requirements.”
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the relevant bill was included on the agenda of today’s first meeting of the parliament’s autumn session.
Under the agreement, Azerbaijani citizens will be able to stay in Jordan without a visa for up to 90 days.
The “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the mutual exemption of holders of ordinary passports from visa requirements,” signed in Baku on July 8, 2026, was put to a vote after discussion and adopted in a first reading.
Visa-exemption agreements are intended to simplify short-term travel between countries and facilitate tourism, business contacts and people-to-people exchanges. The agreement will enter into force in accordance with the procedures set out in the document.
