The National Cybersecurity Agency (MKA) has warned users about a security vulnerability found in Apple products.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that, according to information released by the agency, the vulnerability affects certain versions of the iOS, iPadOS and macOS operating systems and could allow cybercriminals to take control of devices.
People are currently receiving calls from foreign numbers, while malicious files are being sent through deceptive messages on WhatsApp and Telegram. These files could enable fraudsters to take control of devices whose operating systems have not been updated to the latest versions, potentially allowing them to access users’ data without authorization.
The National Cybersecurity Agency recommends that users take the following security measures:
Update the operating systems on iPhone, iPad and Mac devices to the latest available versions;
Do not open files received from unknown or untrusted sources
Enable automatic system updates.
