Nazim Hafiz oglu Rajabov

Nazim Hafiz oglu Rajabov was born on 20 December 1964 in the city of Baku.

After graduating from university in 1989, he worked in the prosecutor’s offices of Kazakhstan as an investigator at the Kirov District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Karaganda and as an investigator for particularly important cases at the Temirtau City Prosecutor’s Office. In 1991, he was admitted to the prosecutor’s offices of Azerbaijan by transfer and worked as a prosecutor-criminalist and senior investigator at the Transport Prosecutor’s Office. From 1993, he served as a prosecutor and senior prosecutor-methodologist at the Legal Support Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office; from 1995, as a prosecutor and senior prosecutor at the Department for Supervision over the Execution of Laws in Transport and the Human Resources Department; and from 2001, as a prosecutor at the Department for the Defence of State Prosecution.

In 2005, he moved to the Department for Work with Law Enforcement Bodies of the Executive Office of the President, where he worked as an adviser and senior adviser. On 29 January 2015, he was transferred back to the prosecutor’s offices and appointed head of the Human Resources Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office. By an Order of the President dated 21 May 2020, he was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General – Head of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption. He holds the highest special rank of State Justice Councillor, 2nd Class.

He is a member of the Collegium of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the High Attestation Commission. He has been awarded the 3rd Class Order “For Service to the Motherland” (2018), and the jubilee medals “100th Anniversary of Heydar Aliyev (1923–2023),” “100th Anniversary of the Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan (1918–2018)” and “30th Anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1995–2025).” He is married and has one child.
