Biography

Heydar Vidadi oglu Mammadov was born on 17 February 1986 in Baku.

He joined the prosecutor's offices in 2008 and worked as an investigator at the Baku City Prosecutor's Office, and subsequently at the Prosecutor's Offices of the Nasimi and Nizami districts. In 2012–2014, he served as a prosecutor and senior prosecutor at the Department of Preventive Measures and Inquiry of the General Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General. Since 2017, he has headed the Department of Organisational and Information Support of that General Department, and since 2019, the Department of Preventive Measures and Inquiry. On 17 February 2020, he was appointed Deputy Head of the General Department for Combating Corruption.

By the Order of the President dated 12 June 2020, he was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General. He holds the highest special rank of State Justice Counsellor, 2nd class. He is a member of the Board of the Office of the Prosecutor General and the Supreme Attestation Commission, chair of the Commissions on Competition and Labour Issues, chair of the editorial board of the bulletin "Practice of Advocacy of State Prosecution", and editor-in-chief of the scientific-practical journal "The Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan".

He has been awarded the medal "For Distinction in State Service" (2018), and the jubilee medals "100th Anniversary of Heydar Aliyev (1923–2023)", "100th Anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan (1918–2018)" and "30th Anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1995–2025)". He is married and has three children.
