Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) General Dan Kane has warned US President Donald Trump regarding the risks associated with potential military operations against Iran. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from CNN, the discussions highlighted significant strategic concerns.

General Kane reportedly expressed reservations regarding the limitations of US ammunition stockpiles. While he acknowledged that current capabilities could fulfill specific mission requirements, he cautioned President Trump and the military leadership about the severe consequences that could arise from large-scale military engagements. The discussions also addressed the potential for significant civilian casualties in the event of strikes within Iran.

Furthermore, US Vice President J.D. Vance has also voiced concerns regarding the escalation of conflict in the region. During a meeting at the White House, President Trump reviewed various scenarios regarding the potential development of events.

The US-Iran relationship remains one of the most complex geopolitical challenges in the Middle East. Tensions have historically fluctuated between diplomatic efforts—such as recent reports of US-backed Omani mediation regarding maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz—and periods of heightened military posturing. The Strait of Hormuz is a critical global chokepoint, through which a significant portion of the world's oil supply passes, making regional stability a matter of international economic concern.
