A businessman who obstructed police officers carrying out their lawful duties and engaged in hooliganism has been jailed in Baku.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the incident took place in the Binagadi district.
Several days ago, traffic police officers stopped a moving truck during the daytime.
The driver, identified as Sarkhan, was told that trucks with a carrying capacity of more than eight tonnes were prohibited from travelling in designated areas of the capital during those hours. He then called the owner of the trucks, Kazim Karimov, a 1992-born resident of Jabrayil district (name and surname are given conditionally). The businessman spoke rudely to the police officers and made various claims. He used insulting language while presenting himself as an associate of one of the generals.
Later, K. Karimov got into a conflict with police officers on Ahmad Rajabli Street in the Binagadi district. He was detained, and officers found that he was intoxicated.
An administrative report was drawn up against the businessman, who was referred to the Binagadi District Court. The court ordered his administrative detention for 10 days.
