The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, is projected to spend 319.2 million manats in 2027, 19.8% more than in 2026.
Finance Minister Sahil Babayev announced the figure at a meeting of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly)’s Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee, where lawmakers discussed the 2027 budget package, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
Under the document, 268.9 million manats of the expenditure, up 12.8%, is to be covered by the UIF’s revenues, while 50.3 million manats, up 79%, is to come from the Fund’s unused balance at the end of the current year.
