A Turkish Armed Forces soldier has been killed.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reported, citing Haberglobal, that Yusuf Sait Ünlü, who was wounded by gunfire during an operation over a border violation in Yüksekova district of Hakkari province, has died.
In a statement, Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defense said the contracted infantry soldier was wounded by gunfire on October 31 as the 7th Border Brigade responded to a border violation in Yüksekova. He was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Hakkari.
Despite doctors’ efforts, he could not be saved and died of his wounds.
