Three individuals have drowned in the Caspian Sea off the coast of Buzovna settlement in Baku's Khazar district, in an uncontrolled area located 1.3 kilometers from the nearest rescue station.

This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).

According to the ministry, diver-rescuers from the State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue have been deployed to the scene to conduct search and rescue operations.

One individual, Aysel Rafiq gizi Hamidova (born in 2009), was rescued and received initial medical assistance before being handed over to the relevant authorities. The body of Ali Rafiq oglu Hamidov (born in 2014) was recovered from the shore. Search efforts are currently ongoing for the third individual, Ruslan Rafiq oglu Hamidov (born in 2004), who is presumed to have drowned.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations frequently reminds citizens to swim only in designated areas where rescue services are present. Uncontrolled coastal zones often lack safety infrastructure, making them significantly more dangerous for swimmers, especially during the summer season when sea activity increases in Azerbaijan.
