The Saudi-led coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognised government said it intercepted and destroyed a drone in the region of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Friday, according to Anadolu Agency.
Coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki announced the interception in a statement posted on the social media platform “X”.
The announcement came amid continued military escalation between the coalition and Yemen’s Houthi group, which has launched repeated missile and drone attacks toward Saudi territory.
