Qarabag FK player Musa Gurbanli spoke about the team’s recent results after its 1-0 defeat to Turan Tovuz in Round 11 of the Misli Premier League.
The forward said the points dropped had made the title race more difficult, but had not changed the team’s goal. According to Gurbanli, the number of teams competing for the title has grown and their rivals have strengthened. “We knew from the outset that it would not be easy. We will fight until the end,” he said.
Gurbanli also noted that Turan Tovuz had performed well in recent times. He said that, despite preparing for a difficult match and taking their opponents’ strength into account, they had wanted to leave the pitch with a win.
Speaking about problems in attack, the player said they would examine why the team had failed to convert its chances. “It seems we have certain shortcomings. The coaching staff will work on them. It is difficult to point to a specific reason for the points dropped in recent matches. We all have to learn from our mistakes,” Gurbanli added.
