A suspect has been arrested in the Absheron district on charges of stealing gold jewelry worth 5,000 manats after posing as a potential homebuyer.
This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
According to the ministry, 31-year-old R. Guliyeva was identified and detained as a result of operational measures. Investigations revealed that the suspect gained access to the residence under the guise of being interested in purchasing the property. Once inside, she took advantage of the homeowner's distraction to commit the theft.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to conduct investigations into the incident. Such crimes, often categorized as property theft or fraud, are subject to strict legal proceedings under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which aims to protect citizens' property rights and maintain public order.
