Azerbaijani trampoline gymnast Selcan Mahsudova finished sixth in the women’s individual trampoline final at the world championships in Nanjing, China. She scored 56.580 points.
Mahsudova finished ahead of the competitors from Italy and Japan. China’s Zhu Xueying won the gold medal. The Azerbaijani athlete placed fifth at last year’s world championships.
On November 7, Selcan Mahsudova won a silver medal in mixed synchronized trampoline with her brother, Mahsud Mahsudov.
Azerbaijan’s national team won two medals in tumbling at the world championships: the team took gold, while Tofiq Aliyev won silver in the individual event. Azerbaijan has now claimed the world team title in tumbling for the third consecutive time. Aliyev won his first world championship medal in the individual event.
