November 8 stands as historic proof of the courage, determination and sacrifice of the Azerbaijani people, who succeeded in restoring the country’s territorial integrity after nearly three decades.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wrote this on his page on the social media platform X, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
“On the sixth anniversary of Victory Day, I extend my warmest congratulations to my dear brother, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and to the brave and brotherly people of Azerbaijan. Pakistan was proud to stand by Azerbaijan at that time and will always support it. The Victory Day parade held in Baku last year, which I had the honour of attending alongside President Ilham Aliyev, vividly demonstrated the unbreakable bonds of friendship between our peoples,” he said.
The prime minister also wished Azerbaijan continued development and new achievements, and said he hoped the South Caucasus would move towards lasting peace and shared prosperity.
