The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said on Sunday that it intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi group toward Riyadh, according to Anadolu Agency.
Coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki said air defences intercepted the missiles. He described the Houthi group as a “terrorist militia” in a statement posted on “X”.
The announcement came hours after the coalition reported intercepting another ballistic missile fired by the Houthis toward Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.
The developments come amid continued military escalation between the Saudi-led coalition and Yemen’s Houthi group, which has launched repeated missile and drone attacks toward Saudi territory.
