Sabah will compete for strong results in the UEFA Champions League and Misli Premier League. The Baku club’s 23-year-old midfielder Umarali Raxmonaliyev said the team must get used to a busy schedule.
Raxmonaliyev said the away match against Viking in Norway would be difficult, adding that Sabah first face Turan Tovuz away. He said the team would work to achieve good results both in European competitions and in the league.
The Uzbekistan-born player also spoke about Sabah’s 0-0 draw with Qarabag in the ninth round of the Misli Premier League. He called the match interesting and said fans enjoyed it. “We worked hard to win, but it ended in a draw. We could not convert our chances in the final third,” Raxmonaliyev said.
He praised the stadium and the pitch, saying they were in excellent condition and that his team enjoyed the match. Raxmonaliyev expects the league to be more interesting this season. “Every team is competing well. That is good for the fans, too. The fight will continue until the end. The strongest team will become champions.”
