"Sülh danışıqlarında əsas tərəflər Rusiya və Ukraynadır" - Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that realistic opportunities exist for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine. Speaking at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Putin emphasized that the primary condition for achieving peace is a direct agreement between the involved parties.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Russian leader noted that while other nations can provide support and assistance, the responsibility for resolving the conflict lies directly with Russia and Ukraine. Putin further criticized certain Western nations allied with Ukraine, accusing them of complicity in international terrorism.

Regarding broader geopolitical relations, the Russian president expressed interest in restoring ties with the United States, noting that progress depends on actions taken by Washington. He confirmed that contacts with the current US administration are ongoing and highlighted that US President Donald Trump is focused on constructive cooperation.

The Eastern Economic Forum, held annually in Vladivostok, serves as a key platform for developing economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region and discussing global geopolitical issues. This year's session underscored the complexities of the ongoing diplomatic efforts surrounding the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
