The source told the agency that the conflict in Ukraine could only be resolved through negotiations.
The Turkish government believes Istanbul has proven to be a suitable platform for contacts between the parties.
For this reason, Ankara considers it possible and appropriate to continue the negotiation process specifically in Istanbul.
Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov earlier said that trilateral talks on resolving the situation in Ukraine could resume in October.
Istanbul has previously hosted contacts between the parties, making it one of the locations associated with diplomatic efforts to address the conflict. Türkiye has repeatedly emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomatic channels in efforts to achieve a settlement.
