As Azerbaijan grows stronger and fully mobilizes its potential, a smear media campaign is being conducted against it from the West.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks on September 15 while receiving a delegation comprising Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev; members and observers of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States; co-organizers of the Yahya Bakuvi International Conference; and members of the Supreme Religious Council of the Peoples of the Caucasus.
"Look, as Azerbaijan grows stronger and, as they say, fully mobilizes its potential, a smear media campaign is once again being conducted against us from the West. In other words, they are vilifying us, and articles full of lies, slander and defamatory claims about Azerbaijan are published every day," the head of state said.
The Organization of Turkic States brings together Turkic-speaking countries and supports cooperation in areas including politics, the economy, culture and religion. Azerbaijan has repeatedly emphasized the importance of cooperation among Turkic and Muslim countries in countering misinformation and strengthening regional ties.
