An A320 passenger plane travelling from Dublin to Rome was diverted to Évreux Air Base in Normandy after a bomb threat was reported on board, Anadolu Agency reported Thursday, citing BFMTV.
The French prime minister’s office told BFMTV that the aircraft had been diverted and said it was monitoring the situation in real time.
The “Aer Lingus” flight was seen turning back over southern Paris, according to flight-tracking website “Flightradar24”. It was then reported to have circled several times before heading north and turning south again towards the air base.
