A fire broke out in an Opel passenger car on Garabagh Street in the Narimanov district of Baku, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that its "112" hotline received a call regarding the incident, after which forces from the State Fire Protection Service were immediately dispatched to the scene. The ministry told Operative Information Center-OMM that firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze in the engine compartment of the vehicle, preventing it from spreading further.
While the engine compartment of the Opel was damaged and the bumper of a nearby parked Mercedes-Benz deformed due to high temperatures, no injuries were reported. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan regularly urges vehicle owners to conduct timely technical maintenance of their cars' electrical and fuel systems to prevent sudden fires, particularly in densely populated urban areas of the capital.
