A fire broke out in a multi-story residential building in Baku’s Narimanov district, after a report was received on the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ (MES) “112” hotline.
The ministry told the "Operative Information Center-OMM" that MES State Fire Protection Service crews were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze in the 10-story apartment building. The fire damaged combustible kitchen structures across 20 square meters in a three-room, 143-square-meter apartment on the eighth floor, as well as 15 linear meters of electrical cable in the shaft.
Most of the apartment and the other apartments in the building were protected from the fire.
As a safety measure, firefighters evacuated residents to a safe area.
No one was injured.
