Manaf Babayev has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board of Azerpost LLC, the national postal operator of Azerbaijan. According to information obtained by the Operative Information Center-OMM, Babayev succeeds Isi Mustafayev, who previously served as the acting chairman of the entity.
Babayev holds a bachelor's degree in Administrative Management and a master's degree in Economic Management from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). His professional career began in the banking sector, where he held various leadership positions. He previously served as the head of financial control at Aztelekom LLC and Chief Financial Officer at the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. Prior to his latest appointment, he was the Deputy Chief Financial Officer at the Azerbaijan Transport and Communication Holding (AZCON Holding).
The outgoing acting chairman, Isi Mustafayev, has transitioned to a new role as an advisor to the Chairman of the Board at PASHA Capital Investment Company CJSC. Mustafayev has a long career in the financial sector, having served in various management roles since 2000. He joined Azerpost in 2021 as Deputy Director General and was a member of the Board between 2021 and 2022.
Azerpost LLC, operating under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, is the sole national postal operator in Azerbaijan. It provides a wide range of services, including traditional postal delivery, logistics, and financial services through its extensive network of branches across the country. The company has been undergoing a period of modernization to integrate digital solutions and enhance its role in the regional logistics and e-commerce chain.
